Moesha & James's Tropical Garden Wedding at Gran Paraiso Gardens in Miami

Moesha & James's Tropical Garden Wedding at Gran Paraiso Gardens in Miami

On June 12, 2026, Moesha and James were married at Gran Paraiso Gardens, a five-acre tropical garden venue in the Homestead area of Miami. Towering palms, lush hedges and bright white blooms set the scene. Olive green, crisp white and classic black-and-white tuxedo style tied the whole look together. It was a garden wedding full of emotion and celebration from start to finish. Here's how it unfolded through our lens.

Getting Ready

The day started with one of our favorite details: Moesha's diamond ring resting in the petals of a white rose. It was a simple, elegant photo that set the tone for everything after.

Moesha's bridesmaids got ready in matching olive satin robes while she wore white. They gathered together on a blush sofa in front of tropical leaf wallpaper, and the colors couldn't have matched the venue better.

Then Moesha stepped into her strapless sweetheart ballgown, with long soft waves and a bouquet of white roses and greenery. She looked calm, confident and absolutely radiant.

Once her bridesmaids were dressed in their olive green satin gowns, their reaction to Moesha said it all. Hands went to their hearts and mouths fell open. These are the moments we wait for.

The First Look

Out in the gardens, James waited in a white tuxedo jacket with black satin lapels while Moesha walked up behind him. When he turned around and saw her, he covered his face with his hands, overcome with emotion. You can't stage a reaction like that, and it's one of the most powerful photos of the day.

Portraits in the Gardens

Gran Paraiso Gardens gave us a new backdrop at every turn. In front of a white gazebo framed by palm trees, Moesha and James held each other close. Moesha's portrait with her bouquet, with James softly blurred behind her, is one of our favorite frames from the gallery.

The Wedding Party

Moesha's bridesmaids lined up in olive green gowns in front of towering palms and a thick green hedge. Against the lush greenery, the color looked rich and elegant.

James led his groomsmen across the lawn, with the guys in tan suits and him in his white tuxedo jacket, so he stood out while still matching the crew. Then everyone came together. Moesha and James raised their hands in celebration, the bridesmaids and groomsmen cheered around them, and the joy was impossible to miss.

We finished with a quiet moment just for the two of them. James kissed Moesha's cheek against the green hedge, both of them smiling.

Moesha and James, thank you for trusting us with your day. It was an honor to tell your story.

Planning a Gran Paraiso Gardens Wedding? Photography Tips

- Give yourselves time to explore the grounds. With five acres of gardens, there are many different backdrops: palms, hedges, the gazebo and open lawn. Build a dedicated portrait window into your timeline so you can use several of them.
- Consider a first look. A private first look in the gardens gives you real, emotional photos and frees up time for portraits with your wedding party before guests arrive.
- Choose colors that work with the greenery. Moesha and James's olive green and white looked beautiful against the tropical foliage. Earthy and soft tones photograph especially well in a garden setting.
- Plan for heat and rain. Homestead summers are hot and humid, with quick afternoon showers. Keep outdoor portrait sessions short, have water and blotting papers ready, and talk with your photographer about a rain plan.
- Aim for late afternoon. Schedule couple portraits for later in the afternoon when you can, so the light is softer.
